Colin Barnett: promised to + fund $30million Principal Shared Path network to add bike paths within 15km of city Premier Colin Barnett said it was clear that there was ever-increasing demand for convenient and safe cycling routes, and, if re-elected, a Liberal Government would provide these as a priority public transport project. "We will continue to cater for increased demand for well-designed cycling routes as part of our balanced public transport plan," Mr Barnett said. "This will include an additional $30million to complete sections of the Principal Shared Path (PSP) network within 15km of the city, delivering commuters a safe and viable alternative to travelling by car. "We have already committed $24.48 million over the next three financial years to do more work on bike paths and associated facilities throughout the State.
